kundalini yoga philosophy

Yoga remains a difficult issue to discuss in this century.

This ancient concept has somehow lost its real meaning through globalization. In an attempt to make things easier, people have reduced a whole philosophy into one simple concept. The intricacies of this practice may not be easily understood by the western civilization. To be on the safe side, it is good to gain a thorough understanding of a particular subject before you begin to speak of it from an expert’s viewpoint. Unfortunately, the western world seems to place the physical aspects of yoga as the main focus. The once respected and revered philosophy has been reduced to a mere speech of attaining inner balance and peace.

It has its origins in the Hindu religion and is a physical manifestation representing one of the six schools of Hindu thought. In the faraway land of India, it is recognized as a spiritual practice that includes a series of complex and systematic physical moves. Most westerners would describe yoga as a physical practice. The hidden intricacies of this mysterious practice with its strange looking symbols may be successful in making the average westerner aware that there are more to yoga than physical moves alone, but nevertheless they are often misunderstood. This discipline is practiced as a popular sport. The allure of yoga as an effective way to gain inner peace and balance has beckoned many to embrace this activity as well.

The so called experts in this industry have been quick to use these promises and people have been fascinated. Outside of India, that there is a high level of misunderstanding of its true nature, hence the monumental amount of mistakes that can be found in its implementation. Different groups practicing yoga have its own cultural structure and these influences are responsible for those fatal errors detected in the practice of this ancient art. Apparently, the west is not prepared to spend too much time in meaningful contemplations of this philosophy, hence the resulting fatal error due to a lack of understanding. While meditation is an integral part of the practice, the westerners with their ever busy lifestyles certainly do not posses time for such luxuries. The principle of Hinduism that governs the yoga practice does not recognize the greed for power and wealth, which is obviously a value of prime importance in the western world. Therefore, it is believed that the westerners will never reach the pinnacles of true wisdom dictated by the parameters of the Hindu religion. Patience and time is crucial for meditation. Obsessed with the need to accumulate as much wealth as possible, therefore the thought of having to spend time in such sessions would be considered a mere waste of precious time.

Yoga has been accepted as a fashion. If you wish to know more, you can get hold of some of the available materials out there which is actively promoting this practice as a form of sports; yoga can be practiced anywhere. Fans of famous people who later become fake gurus are adamant about supporting their idol and his practice. The disciples of these fake gurus are responsible for spreading the influence of the wrong philosophy pertaining to yoga practice.
